With March comes Spring, a time for change and growth and renewal! The rain falls, the sun shines, that flowers bloom, the city changes. You know what doesn’t change? The number of events Eugene has to offer you! Don’t spend your money on expensive entertainment this spring, experience some of the great things Eugene has to offer!

Here is a list to help get you started, but don’t be fooled there is much more than the things I have written here.

Family Fun Sundays

Family Fun invite kids and families to try a new fun activity! March 6, illustrate a scene from your favorite tale at Picture a Story. Craft Party at Claim 52 Taproom

There’s no doubt it. Even a plain strand of little white lights instantly livens up a room! Add these easy-to-make vellum flowers to that strand and the result is nothing short of sheer, luminous enchantment. Cost is $30, includes instruction and all craft supplies.

Learnscape Gardening Event with Nearby Nature

Volunteer to plant seeds and starts in the Nearby Nature Edible Schoolyard, a garden used by Network Charter School students and Summer Day Camp programs. Learn about gardening while supporting educational programs.

“My Brothers and I” perform at Sam Bonds Garage

Sam Bond’s Garage, Eugene | March 24 | $8 | 9:00pm

My Brothers and I are an indie-pop band from Portland, Oregon. They released their debut album "Don't Dream Alone" in September 2015. They will make you feel like dancing at Sam Bond's Garage.   

Track and Field Fan Fest

Hayward Field, Eugene | March 26 | Free | 9:00am – 12:00pm

Fans are invited to join the Oregon track and field team at Hayward Field for the team’s second annual Fan Fest. Fans of all ages will be able meet members of the Ducks’ track and field team and take part in a community mile race, while children ages 5-12 will be able to participate in the annual Run, Jump and Throw Clinic.

Hunt for your share of more than 25,000 eggs. Play games, make crafts and ride on the Willamalane Train.  Dance to live entertainment. Be sure to bring your camera to snap a photo with Hops the Bunny.

Dennis Lyons at The Beergarden

Dennis Lyons brings a welcoming charm to the stage.  With his acoustic guitar and obvious passion for music, he involves the audience in his performance.  With his story-telling and easy-listening sound, Dennis is sure to warm your hearts.
