The River Road neighborhood is located west of the Willamette River, between Beltline Road on the north and Northwest Expressway and the Union Pacific railroad tracks on the west and south. It's named for the area's main north/south arterial thoroughfare. Like the Bethel neighborhood to the west, many of the homes in the River Road neighborhood are affordable, and like the Santa Clara neighborhood to the north, the lots are well-established.
While the River Road neighborhood is primarily residential, there are many businesses along River Road, and along West 11th Street just to the south of the area. Santa Clara Square, just north of Beltline Road along River Road, provides more shopping opportunities, and downtown Eugene is just a few minutes away.
