Danebo and Bethel encompass the area west of the Northwest Expressway and north of Roosevelt Avenue. The residential population of this area is growing fast, as the city expands westward. The affordability of the new housing has attracted many first-time home buyers and retirees.

Immediately to the west of this area are the West Eugene Wetlands, where many species of birds and animals can be seen and studied. West of the wetlands is Fern Ridge Reservoir, a stopover for many migratory birds and a major source for local recreation, such as swimming and boating. West of Fern Ridge Reservoir is the community of Veneta, home to the Oregon Country Fair.

There is easy access to close shopping at Barger Road and Beltline Road, and along West 11th Street. Beltline road provides easy access to other shopping centers, the downtown area, and I-5.
